Patrizia Jankovic was born in Vienna and is a graduate from the University of Vienna (Humanities). After working at the Austrian Permanent Representation to the European Union in Brussels, Belgium, she was a public relations officer and project manager for educational courses, language projects and projects in the field of adult education at the SOCRATES National Agency in Vienna. In 2005 she started to work at the Federal Ministry of Education and was in charge of adult education, National Qualification Framework and Lifelong Learning Policies with regard to general education. Currently she is head of unit for Human Resources – international at the Federal Ministry of Education, Science and Research and programme delegate within Horizon 2020 for the European Research Council, Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions and Future Emerging Technologies.

Barbara Brettner was born 1978 in Vienna. After graduating from school she studied Economics at the University of Economics and Business Administration in Vienna. After leaving university she started with her first full time job at Siemens VDO in Vienna in the department of Central Eastern Europe Exports. During stays abroad (England, France, Spain, Italy and Finland) in order to improve her language skills she also got to know different cultures and working styles. 

In 2009 she started as Assistant to the CEO at the OeAD-GmbH. In March 2017 she worked for the Center of International Cooperation and Mobility and from April that year she was asked to assist the Ministry for Education, Science and Research in order to prepare Conferences related to the Austrian Presidency of Council of the European Union.

M.Miandy Munusamy is an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer of Public Service Department, Malaysia. He joined the Policy Coordination and International Division, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia (MOHE) in April 2009. As a desk officer for multilateral cooperation, he coordinated the higher education cooperation between MOHE and various multilateral cooperation including Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM). He was part of the Secretariat of the Fourth ASEM Education Ministers’ Meeting (ASEMME4) held in Kuala Lumpur in 2013. He was also seconded to the ASEM Education Secretariat (AES) Jakarta, Indonesia from February 2015 to February 2016. Beginning September 2017, he started his Doctorate study on Internationalisation of Higher Education in Malaysia and The ASEM Education Process at Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya. Currently, he is seconded to the AES Brussels for his two-folded mission: to collect information for his PHD Thesis on ASEM Education Process and to support the daily work of the AES.

Nadia Reynders works since 2013 as a policy advisor and project coordinator at the Flemish Ministry of Education and Training in Adult education and guidance. Before she has been managing different educational progammes in the sector of development cooperation, mainly in Teacher Training and in collaboration with ministries of Education in South-East Asia (Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam).  Currently she is co-coordinating the ASEM Education secretariat, as a representative from the Flemish Ministry of Education, together with her colleague David Urban (French Community representative).

David Urban was born in Frankfurt/Main, Germany where he accomplished his secondary education. After graduating at the Catholic university of Mons (Belgium) in political and administrative sciences, he was working for several cultural institutions in the French Community of Belgium and was appointed member of numerous committees and boards. In 2009, he joined the UCLouvain and worked as a research assistant on higher education policies, focusing on transformation processes of higher education landscapes in Europe since the Bologna process. He has also been lecturing on public management and education policies at the University of Picardie Jules Verne and the UCLouvain-Mons. Since 2017, he is co-coordinator of the ASEM Education Secretariat, representing the Wallonia-Brussels Federation of Belgium.
